Description
Testosterone cypionate is a long-acting testosterone ester used in testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). Similar to testosterone enanthate, it is administered by intramuscular injection, where the cypionate ester allows for a slow and sustained release of testosterone into the bloodstream.
It was introduced in the 1950s and remains a standard treatment for male hypogonadism (low testosterone levels). Testosterone cypionate is most commonly prescribed in the United States, whereas testosterone enanthate is more widely used in Europe.
