Description
Methandienone, commonly known by the trade name Dianabol (or D-bol), is a synthetic anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) derived from testosterone. It was developed in the late 1950s and became one of the most widely used oral anabolic steroids in both medical and athletic contexts.
Initially, it was prescribed for conditions such as muscle wasting and recovery support, but it quickly gained notoriety for its non-medical use in bodybuilding and competitive sports. Due to widespread misuse and health risks, its medical use has been discontinued or highly restricted in most countries.
