Description
Nandrolone decanoate is a long-acting anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS), best known under the brand name Deca-Durabolin. It is an esterified form of nandrolone, designed for slow release after intramuscular injection, with a half-life of about 6–12 days.
Originally introduced in the 1960s, nandrolone decanoate was widely used in medicine for conditions such as anemia, osteoporosis, breast cancer, and muscle-wasting diseases. Today, its medical use is limited but it may still be prescribed in some countries under strict supervision.
